New Members
To become a Sister of Mercy, a period of formation prepares each person interested in becoming fully committed to the way of life.

The preparation for a total commitment of self to God and religious life comprises the following stages:

New members – is a preliminary time of introduction to the mercy way of life leading to making a responsible decision in choosing to become a Sister of Mercy.

The Novitiate  –  is a period when a new member is “initiated into the meaning of the consecrated life and the Vows, and is helped to assimilate the charism of our Congregation and appreciate our mission in the Church.”

First Profession  –  by her Profession a Sister offers herself to God, promising to live a Gospel life of Poverty, Chastity, Obedience and the Service of those in Need.

Perpetual Profession  –  by Perpetual Profession the Sister enters a permanent covenant with God.
