PRESENTATION OF THE LORD
The scene in the Temple is a strange mixture of gladness and pain. Joy and sorrow were never far apart in the lives of Jesus and Mary his Mother, as in the lives of most human beings
For Mary and Joseph – an act of Thanksgiving.
For Simeon – a moment of intense joy and peace.
For Anna – a reward received for her faithfulness.
