On 18^th March, St Michael’s Mercy Care Home in Clacton hosted a local event to show appreciation for ‘Emergency Heroes’.  A welcome address was given by Sister Philomena who told the story of St Michael’s over the last 118 years and how they have needed the support of local services and individuals over that time.  There was great excitement when the fire engine pulled up outside, and lots of stories were shared.
