Mercy Centres

The Sisters are working in ministries of spiritual leadership, in pastoral and social work, especially with the most needy in our society: the spiritually poor, the homeless, refugees and where the need is.  In the spirit of Catherine McAuley we bring the Word,  the Mercy and Compassion of God to those with whom we work.  In the words of our General Chapter 2005 we restated our commitment: “ ...as a Congregation to be ‘mercy to all’ with preferential option for the most vulnerable in society.”

This Congregation currently includes convents and houses in the Dioceses of Aberdeen, Birmingham, Brentwood, Clifton, Dunkeld, Glasgow, Hallam, Menevia, Motherwell, Plymouth, Shrewsbury, St Andrew's and Edinburgh, Westminster and Wrexham.

Individual Sisters live and minister in the following Dioceses: Arundel & Brighton, Hexham & Newcastle, Lancaster, Leeds and Southwark.

Sisters live and work in South Africa, Lebanon and Romania.
